Who would you choose today from the mix of Obama, Clinton, McCain, Romney, Huckabee, or Paul? Why would you pick them?

Probably Romney.
McCain tries too hard to befriend the left . . . he's just too lib for me in various ways; Hillbilly and Obama are definitely too far to the left as well; Huckabee annoys me and Ron Paul seems a scoch odd.

Definitely not McCain for me. McCain seems more concerned with winning than solving problems. That blind competition turns me off. In a debate, I feel that we should always keep our eye on the solution to the problem that we are debating rather than just focusing on winning our position.
Why should Hillary get a second chance to push her health care plan? Why hasn't she been doing it all along? She is a US Senator. I don't see what power she will have as president to make that happen that she doesn't have right now. The only issue that I hear them talk about that is an issue where they could make a difference on is the handling of the war. Hillary treated our armed services personnel like her personal valet staff when she was first lady. I don't think she is good for our military. Obama has no military experience. That leaves us with the GOP. And for me, that means it is just Huckabee or Romney.

Well, with McCain now the virtual nominee I guess I'll be doing a pencil-in on the ballot this year. I always wanted an opportunity to vote for Reagan, even if he is dead now I'll get my chance. Seriously - I do plan to vote, just not for a Dem OR a Rep. Obama and Hillbilly are leftists - and although I like Obama's personality MUCH better than Hillbilly's I still can't vote for him b/c I'm too opposed to his political leanings. I actually have an ominous feeling about Barak . . . there's SO much hype and glorification surrounding him it feels like something awful is going to happen to him . . . . if that makes any sense. Hillbilly - I don't want the Clinton's back in the White House. EVER. McCain - well, in addition to not being in agreement with some of his political viewpoint, I just don't trust him. He's been too much of a back-stabber in the past. Plus, he give me the impression that he'll blow a gasket any moment...he seems like a loose cannon.

I just caught a pic of him and his wife tonight. He is sooo old. Does he have the stamina for the job? I can't imagine him having what it takes for two terms and you really can't accomplish much in four years.

Wasn't Reagan about 70 when he took office? He didn't look as haggard and old as McCain does, though - however, in the man's defense, he has had a pretty rough life.

Yes. I believe you are quite correct. Well, let's see how he holds up during his campaign.
